"T Minus 16 Days" Until My First Event of 2008
Its been a while since I last updated my blog, sorry guys, I've been pretty busy with life.

Most of you don't know, but besides my competitive nature at the drag strip, I also coach high school Track and Field at a local high school. My kids sometimes don't understand why I want them to win so bad. Its all about competing; they need to learn to be the best that you can be at everything they try to do. Since November, we've been competing in the indoor track season. Our boy and girls teams both won the district meet (11 schools in the district) and our girls won the state meet (4x400 team setting a new state record too!). The girls teams compete in the National meet this coming weekend. I coach the Pole vault and our squad are all new this season. I have a few boys with talent and they are starting to show their stuff now. Enough about my personal life, back to drag racing.

The motor- Currently, I am still waiting on my custom pistons to be finished. Between not knowing the rules/classes for this season, not knowing what car I would be running, and all of the other stuff that has been going on, I ordered all my stuff late. Because I don't know when they'll be in, I'm just going to put my small (back-up) motor back together for now. When the new stuff gets in, I'll assemble the bigger project. I hope to have the small motor assembled by tomorrow.

Trans- The past 2 years, I've had transmission issues. It was a combination of a few things, trying new trans fluid, trying to be cheap and using stock pressure plates, reusing old hub/sliders, etc. This season, we bought all new parts, including a new LSD, and have been measuring all clearances. I'll never forget the E-Town race I had a car and setup that was running on point, but the transmission broke on me at the starting line. That haunts me every race. I hope to have 1 transmission complete by Friday.

Season- Currently, we have 20 events scheduled to be at. A couple are car shows, a couple non-sanctioned races, and the rest between BOTI and NOPI/NHRA. This is a lot to do being on a sportsman budget but we'll make everyone we can.

2008 is almost here!

Two Months Until the 1st Green Light
2008 is the season which we really set our sights on hitting it big. We have some great plans on the new motor setup.

DFE Enterprises has a great new piston design for us to try and our Skunk 2 head package shows great promise for the new setup and PasswordJDM is showing great support once again.

This season we’re going to be tackling 18 events all over the east coast and even head out to 2 west coast races. We’ll be racing both Import series, showing the car at Hot Import Nights, and hopefully taking part in a couple of the big time national money races.

As well as on the track events, this year we’ve started to help our local car enthusiasts with hosting a monthly dyno day, couple charity fundraisers are planned, and hopefully we’ll get to get out to a local school to encourage youth to keep the racing and playing off the streets and get involved at the local tracks. 2008 looks to be a real busy year, but it also looks to be a very exciting one. Lets get our cars ready ladies and gentlemen, we’ve got some racing to prepare for!
