Garrett
by Honeywell Signs as Official Sponsor for 2008
The Battle of the Imports announced
today that a formal partnership has been created for 2008 with Honeywell Turbo
Technologies. "We are very excited about partnering with Garrett by Honeywell,"
commented Frank Choi, Battle of the Imports. Garrett by Honeywell will be
posting contingency in all of the applicable Street and Sportsman classes.
Racers need to win using a Garrett turbocharger and display an appropriate
decal throughout the course of the event.
Additionally, a brand new
"bounty" program will be offered to drivers in the applicable pro classes. "The
bounty program is season long program where the driver that ends the season
with the quickest E.T. in their respective class wins the bonus payout. This
program is an excellent way for competitors to continue raising the bar and
something new for fans to keep track of throughout the sesaon," added
Choi.
"Garrett by Honeywell is very excited to have this opportunity to
work with Battle of the Imports, not only a contingency sponsor, but also as
the sponsor of the Garrett Bounty Award! We are looking forward to rewarding
those drivers who have helped to demonstrate the amazing reliability and
incredible response of Garrett Turbochargers that has become the industry
standard," commented Tracie Parker, Marketing Manager, Garrett
Aftermarket.
