Greetings from the Battle of the Imports. We are pleased to announce the beginning of our 20th consecutive season with our season opener event at the Speed World Dragway located in Orlando, FL on Sunday April 18th.

“The current state of our economy and the challenges it poses to everyone living in this country cannot be overlooked,” commented Frank Choi, Battle of the Imports. “In light of what is happening around us, we are offering a reduced schedule for 2010. As of now, we have three solid events scheduled and plans to add a fourth,” added Choi.

New for 2010 is the addition of the Outlaw Comp class. This class was offered in beta form at the 2009 season finale event and was widely accepted. In spite of the short notice given to team participating at the finals, categorizing the vehicles at the time was based on the size of turbo.

Rules for Outlaw Comp are identical to the Street Comp rules except for the following:
1.) Maximum tire size permitted is 28X10.5. “W” tires are not permitted.
2.) Maximum compressor size is 72 mm utilizing a T-4 frame.
3.) Air to Water intercoolers are permitted.
4.) Minimum weight with driver is 2400 pounds.

All of the other classes offered in 2009 will again be offered with rules remaining the same as 2009.
